Top eateries and, for the first time, traditional taverns earn coveted spots in the prestigious Austrian ranking.

The renowned Austrian magazine Falstaff has published a new culinary guide in which the best restaurants in Croatia have been rated, and the novelty this year is that the selection for the first time also includes traditional taverns, which are ranked in a special category.

Thus, Falstaff, in cooperation with the Croatian National Tourist Board, has gathered the best gastronomic addresses in our country in its gastro guide for Croatia (German Internationalen Restaurantguide Kroatien) in one place.

As in the previous year, three restaurants still hold the throne at the top of the gastro ranking: Pelegrini in Šibenik, Lemongarden in Sutivan on Brač, and Agli Amici Rovinj, while the best traditional tavern has been named Konoba Zijavica in Mošćenička Draga.

According to Falstaff, Croatian cuisine, influenced by Mediterranean and Central European traditions, offers a wide range of specialties—from seafood and rustic meat dishes to lavish desserts—which certainly enriches Croatia‘s tourist offer and contributes to the competitiveness of our gastronomy, which is one of the main reasons tourists visit our country.
