From deserts to mountains, Šimleša completed the grueling 4,300 km trek, facing wildlife and forging global friendships.

Bruno Šimleša, after one hundred and thirty-four days of walking, reached his goal, having walked the famous Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), a trail that leads from the US border with Mexico to the US border with Canada, stretching 4300 kilometers.

He made about 6 million steps.

The PCT became world famous after the film "Wild" starring Reese Witherspoon was made.

Šimleša, following the trail, walked through the mountain landscapes of California, Oregon and Washington, averaging between thirty and fifty kilometers a day. Along the way, he occasionally walked with various people from all over the world, had encounters with bears, and also lost about ten kilograms. On his journey, he was often helped by people who followed his travels on social media, and there were many Croatians who offered him help as well.

By the way, the first Croatian to walk the Pacific Crest Trail was Nikola Horvat, who did so in 2017.
