Zagreb artist and florist Saša Šekoranja and his mother Lili are relaxing and enjoying themselves at his estate in Istria, preparing fine dishes and delicacies, one of which is peaches in wine, which they proudly shared on social media. Saša, in fact, posted a video on his Instagram profile telling his followers how he noticed how much they like when Lili is also featured in the videos he films and posts, so he decided to post another one in which they make a fruit specialty – peaches in wine.
"It‘s summer, it‘s peach season and you can only make this in summer. This is a recipe I adore, you probably might know it. The peach must be ripe, juicy, preferably homegrown, it should peel itself and be cut into pieces," Lili began, then sprinkled the cut fruit pieces with vanilla sugar. "I have my own homemade vanilla sugar, and on top of that goes a good red wine. You can use white, but I prefer red. Everything goes in the fridge for a few hours to chill well and then we will enjoy the summer, peaches, and company," Saša and Lili concluded.
Recipe:
- pick (or buy) ripe peaches
- peel them with a small knife and remove the pit
- cut into pieces
- sprinkle with vanilla sugar (one teaspoon per peach)
- pour red wine over the peaches in a bowl
- chill in the fridge for a few hours
